ESPN's Fab Five Was Sick

Yet again ESPN churned out another sick documentary. I remember getting more excited than a horny high schooler on national skirt day when ESPN advertised the 30for30 series. Those movies were incredible ranging from that hipster Ricky Williams to those hoodlums at the "U" and to the gut wrenching tale of Len Bias. Well when they finally finished all 30 I was pissed, there had to be more. Well it wasn't a 30for30, but ESPN aired a documentary on the Fab Five from Michigan. It told about how they rocked college basketball with their black socks, black shoes and baggy shorts and started a revolution that Commander-In-Chief, George Washington would dig (not really).

The best part were the interviews with Jalen Rose. I like him on ESPN analyzing the NBA even though he sounds semi retarded when he speaks. But he had gem quotes such as: "I thought Christian Laettner was an overrated pussy." Jimmy King called him a "bitch." Eloquently put. They showed Rose slammin' 40's and ripping cigarettes... what an OG. He said: "Yeah we played beer pong, we partied just like everyone else... the only difference was that we had to go to practice the next day." Amen brother, I gotta blog and watch sports all day the next day... it aint easy what me and Jalen do. Do yourself a favor and watch this if it replays on ESPN. It's a great look into college basketball, a bond that hasn't been broken between 5 men and a much closer, and insightful look into Chris Webber's infamous timeout that lost them a title.

Keep em comin ESPN.
