Spare Me The Good Vs. Evil Natty 'Ship

Look every final 4 there are story lines. Different teams have their own unique, individual stories as to how they reached the final 4. Well this year is no different and one of the story lines circulating is that we are on a collision course for a "good vs. evil" matchup in the big game. On the left side we have TRUE basketball schools in Kentucky and UConn. Kentucky and UConn can boast that they have two legendary coaches... no not Calipari you filthy mutts but Adolph Rupp. Sure he was a racist bigot, but the man could coach some roundball. UConn has Jim Calhoun, yeah he might cheat here and there but winning 5 games in 5 days is fucking ridiculous. Then on the right hand side we have the little engines that could, Butler and VCU... at this point you should know how out of place these teams are and thus why they are the underdogs.

But please, spare me the good vs. evil story line. Last year was the true good vs. evil when the baby Butler Bulldogs were taking on the scum devils from Durham. Literally nobody outside of Carolina likes Duke and everyone loves a Cinderella (Butler). That is good vs. evil. This year, not so much.

Kentucky and UConn are kind of surprises in their own right. Yeah they have more firepower and bigger names than VCU and Butler, but they both had somewhat shaky seasons. I mean there was a point where Kentucky couldn't get a road win to save it's life. Despite their incredible run, people still forget that UConn went 9-9 in the Big East... 500 ball in conference play isn't necessarily what final 4 teams are made of.

Aside from their records, these teams are somewhat likeable. Yeah UConn vanquished my beloved Wildcats of Arizona but I still don't hate them that much. I mean Kemba Walker is the fucking man with his late game heroics, and I also heard that he's packin' in the pantalones... can't really hate on that (no homo)?

You might hate Calipari because he reminds you of a greasy mobster flippin a coin with a toothpick in the side of his mouth, but his players are legit. Nobody can really hate on freshman, which is essentially what Kentucky is. Terrance Jones and Brandon Knight are their best players. However they have another likeable guy in Josh Harrellson, a no nonsense, lunchpail type of baller.

Look, i'm definitely rooting for either VCU or Butler to win it all because, c'mon how ridiculous would that be? But there certainly is no "good vs. evil." This is a final 4 i'm gonna enjoy and won't be dissapointed if any of these 4 teams win.
