That Lived Up To Cafe Disco- Pullen Outshines Taylor for 38 Minutes (With 38 points)

Holy shit. That was one hell of a game between Wisconsin and K-State and an absolutely incredible performance from Jacob Pullen. The dude could not miss going off for 38. The big story going in was the battle between guards Pullen and Wisconsin's Jordan Taylor, both Cousy finalists, but Pullen sure got the better of the Badger. Taylor was abysmal scoring 12 points on 2-16 shooting (not a typo).

HOWEVER....Pullen may have been the better player statistically and through 38 minutes, but it was Taylor who shined when it mattered. After Taylor stupidly fouled Pullen shooting a 3 when the Cats were down 3, Pullen missed one of his attempts. On the following inbounds Taylor got his chance to make nerve-racking free throws and he sunk him both putting the Badgers back up 3. But Pullen would get another chance to tie it with another three ball as time winded down, but Taylor rejected his shot and the Badgers advance.

A tip of the cap to Pullen for an incredible senior year and an outstanding four years. While his beard may always be questioned, his heart and talents never can. If I am him, I am calling up Michael Beasley right now and giving him shit because those two could have forged quite a duo had Beasley not declared for the draft after their freshman year. While Pullen went on to NCAA stardom, Beasley dabbled in heavy pot smoking and Timberwolves basketball.
